Eggplant Automation QA Specialist (Contract)

Elgebra is seeking an experienced and dedicated Eggplant Automation QA Specialist for a contract role. This position is primarily based in Chennai, offering a hybrid work arrangement with some flexibility for remote work.

As an Eggplant Automation QA Specialist, you'll be a key player in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions. You'll leverage your expertise in Eggplant to design, develop, and execute robust automated tests, contributing directly to a seamless user experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities :

- Test Automation Development : Design, develop, and maintain high-quality automated test scripts and frameworks using the Eggplant platform.

- Execution and Reporting : Execute automated and manual tests, analyze results, and accurately report defects (bugs) in a timely manner, collaborating closely with development teams for resolution.

- Requirements Collaboration : Proactively collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers, business analysts) to clearly identify, define, and document comprehensive test requirements and test plans.

- Quality Adherence : Ensure that all products and features meet specified standards for quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) before deployment.

- Process Improvement : Continuously evaluate and improve the existing testing processes, methodologies, and documentation to enhance efficiency and coverage.

- Regression Management : Conduct thorough regression testing following system changes or new releases to ensure existing functionalities remain intact.

- Documentation : Maintain clear, concise, and up-to-date test documentation, including test cases, test plans, and automation scripts.

Required Qualifications & Experience :

We are looking for a highly skilled QA professional with a strong background in test automation :

- Experience : Approximately 6+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA), with significant expertise in Eggplant test automation.

- Technical Tools : Proven experience with Eggplant or other industry-leading test automation tools.

- Quality Expertise : Demonstrated skills in Quality Management, including familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and/or Quality Auditing principles.

- Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.

- Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field.

- Work Style : Proven ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively within a dynamic, hybrid work environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) :

- Experience in software and application testing within the healthcare or technology sectors.

- Familiarity with other testing methodologies (e.g., performance, security).
