We are looking for an experienced QA Automation & AI Quality Engineering Lead to establish and scale a world-class quality engineering practice that supports our next generation SaaS platform.

This is a leadership role for someone who combines deep technical expertise, automation architecture, AI-driven testing capabilities, and team leadership. You will play a critical role in ensuring our platform remains secure, scalable, reliable, and user-friendly while accelerating release velocity through intelligent automation.

The Role :

As the QA Automation & AI Quality Engineering Lead, you will define and execute EIC's quality engineering strategy.

You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, DevOps, and Leadership teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

This role goes beyond traditional QA. We are looking for a leader who embraces AI-powered testing, modern automation frameworks, cloud-native quality practices, and continuous delivery.

You will help transform our organization from QA-focused testing into a Quality Engineering culture.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Quality Engineering Leadership :

- Define and execute the organization's quality engineering strategy and roadmap.

- Establish quality standards, testing methodologies, and release criteria.

- Drive a culture of quality ownership across engineering teams.

- Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to ensure quality is considered from design through deployment.

- Establish quality KPIs and continuously improve testing effectiveness.

- Lead root cause analysis initiatives and quality improvement programs.

- Drive adoption of Shift-Left and Shift-Right testing practices.

- Create quality governance processes across multiple products and teams.

2. AI-Powered Quality Engineering :

- Implement AI-assisted testing practices across the organization.

- Evaluate and adopt modern AI testing tools and platforms.

- Utilize AI for :


1. Test case generation


2. Test script generation


3. Test data creation


4. Defect analysis


5. Risk assessment


6. Root cause investigation


7. Test coverage optimization.


- Establish standards and governance for responsible AI use in testing.

- Build AI-powered quality workflows that improve productivity and release confidence.

- Evaluate and test AI-powered product capabilities, chatbots, recommendation systems, and generative AI features.

3. Test Automation Architecture :

- Design scalable automation frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or equivalent technologies.

- Build and maintain :


1. UI automation suites


2. API automation suites


3. Integration testing frameworks


4. End-to-end testing frameworks


5. Regression testing suites regr


6. Smoke testing suites.


- Develop self-healing automation capabilities.

- Ensure test automation is maintainable, scalable, and reusable.

- Establish automation coding standards and review processes.

- Drive high automation coverage across critical business workflows.

4. CI/CD & DevOps Quality Integration :

- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

- Build quality gates for deployment approvals.

- Implement automated validation for : 1. Builds 2. Releases 3. Infrastructure changes 4. API deployments.

- Partner with DevOps teams to improve deployment confidence.

- Develop deployment health checks and production validation processes.

- Monitor and improve release quality metrics.

5. SaaS Platform Quality :

- Ensure quality across : 1. Multi-tenant SaaS architecture 2. REST APIs 3. Mobile-responsive applications 4. Reporting systems 5. Integrations 6. Authentication and authorization systems.

- Validate data integrity across complex workflows.

- Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG).

- Support security testing initiatives.

- Establish quality standards for high-availability cloud systems.

6. Performance & Reliability Testing :

- Design and execute performance testing strategies.

- Validate system scalability and reliability.

- Conduct : 1. Load testing 2. Stress testing 3. Scalability testing 4. Reliability testing.

- Establish performance benchmarks and monitoring standards.

- Partner with engineering teams to identify and resolve bottlenecks.

7. Team Leadership & Mentorship :

- Mentor QA engineers and developers on automation best practices.

- Review automation code and provide technical guidance.

- Establish quality engineering standards and documentation.

- Build testing competency throughout the organization.

- Lead training initiatives on modern testing approaches and AI-assisted quality engineering.

- Foster collaboration between Product, Engineering, and QA teams.

Required Qualifications :

1. Leadership Experience :

- 7+ years of software testing and QA automation experience.

- 3+ years leading QA or Quality Engineering initiatives.

- Experience building or scaling QA organizations.

- Proven track record implementing automation frameworks from scratch.

- Experience mentoring engineers and improving team quality standards.

- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

2. Technical Expertise :

- Expert-level knowledge of : 1. Playwright 2. Cypress 3. Selenium 4. Test automation frameworks.

- Strong programming skills in : 1. JavaScript / TypeScript 2. Python 3. Java 4. Similar languages.

- Experience with : 1. REST APIs 2. GraphQL APIs 3. API automation testing.

- Strong Git and GitHub workflow experience.

- CI/CD expertise : 1. GitHub Actions 2. GitLab CI 3. Jenkins 4. Azure DevOps.

- Experience with Docker and containerized environments.

- Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.

3. AI & Modern Quality Engineering Skills :

- Hands-on experience using :


1. GitHub Copilot


2. ChatGPT


3. Claude


4. Cursor


5. Gemini


6. Similar AI development tools.

- Experience generating automation scripts using AI.

- Understanding of :


1. Large Language Models (LLMs)


2. Prompt engineering


3. Retrieval systems


4. AI application architectures.

- Experience testing AI-powered applications.

2. Prompt validation

- Experience testing enterprise SaaS platforms.

- Experience implementing observability and monitoring solutions.

- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).

- Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).

- Experience leading globally distributed teams.

Success Metrics :

Within your first 12 months, you will :
