DynPro - VMware Consultant - ESXi/Vsphere

Responsibilities :

- VMware Management : Design, deploy, and optimize VMware ESXi/vSphere environments, including vCenter, HA, DRS, and vMotion. Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning for virtual environments.

- Windows Server Administration : Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server environments, managing Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and certificate services.

- Storage & Networking : Configure and manage enterprise storage systems (DDN, Dell EMC Isilon). Utilize strong networking skills in VLANs, routing, switching (L2/L3), and firewall policies.

- Automation & VDI : Automate provisioning and lifecycle management of VMs. Experience with end-to-end VDI management is a key part of this role.

- Monitoring & Support : Respond to system alerts and outages, perform root cause analysis, and provide L3 technical support. Utilize monitoring tools to ensure high availability.

- Documentation & Compliance : Create and maintain comprehensive infrastructure documentation, standard operating procedures, and disaster recovery plans. Ensure systems comply with internal standards and regulatory frameworks (ISO, ITIL).

- Team Collaboration : Collaborate closely with backup, network, and security teams. Mentor junior staff and coordinate with vendors for escalations. Participate in project planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Proficiency : Expertise in managing VMware ESXi/vSphere and Windows Server environments.

- Networking & Storage : Strong skills in L2/L3 networking and experience with enterprise-grade storage systems like DDN and Dell EMC Isilon.

- Problem-Solving : Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a service-oriented mindset.

- Experience : Proven experience managing small teams or coordinating with vendors.

- Communication : Strong documentation and communication skills.

- Certifications (Preferred) : VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV), Microsoft Certified : Windows Server Administrator, or ITIL Foundation.

- Scripting : Scripting skills in PowerShell or CLI are a plus.
