Key Responsibilities :
- Lead functional design workshops and gather detailed finance-related business requirements.
- Configure and implement D365 F&O Finance modules including :
1. General Ledger (GL)
2. Accounts Payable (AP)
3. Accounts Receivable (AR)
4. Fixed Assets (FA)
5. Budgeting
6. Cash & Bank
7. Project Accounting
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (IT, finance, operations) to ensure end-to-end solution delivery.
- Provide guidance on financial reporting standards, regulatory compliance (especially UK GAAP), and process optimization.
- Deliver end-user training, documentation, and support to ensure successful system adoption.
- Support data migration, testing (UAT), cutover planning, and go-live activities.
- Troubleshoot functional issues and ensure system stability and performance.
- Stay current with D365 F&O updates, Microsoft roadmap, and industry trends.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and post-implementation support.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX / D365 F&O, with strong focus on financial modules.
- Proven track record of leading multiple full-cycle D365 F&O implementations.
- Deep knowledge of core financial processes including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance.
- Strong understanding of UK financial regulations and housing sector accounting practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels and translate business needs into functional solutions.
- Experience with data migration tools and techniques.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Familiarity with business process modeling and project management tools.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Microsoft Certifications in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
- Experience in housing, public sector, or non-profit domains.
- Knowledge of Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate), Azure DevOps, and integration tools.
- Understanding of project accounting and grant management.
