DXC - Java Developer - Microservices Architecture

Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with a strong background in microservices development using Spring Boot and Kafka in the Investment Banking domain.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about building scalable, secure, and high-performance back-end systems for financial applications.

You will be working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that values strong technical skills, problem-solving, and domain knowledge.

This role involves close collaboration with business analysts, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and project managers.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based Java applications using Spring Boot.

- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and manage asynchronous communication using Kafka.

- Participate in system architecture, design discussions, and performance tuning.

- Work on application components involving event-driven architectures, including CQRS and SAGA patterns.

- Collaborate with UI developers, QA teams, and DevOps for end-to-end delivery.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives).

- Write efficient, reusable, and testable code; ensure code quality through unit and integration testing.

- Maintain source code repositories (Bitbucket/Git), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Maven), and documentation (Confluence/JIRA).

Must-Have Skills :

Backend / Core Technologies :

- Core Java, Java 8+, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud

- Kafka for message streaming and event-driven architecture

- RESTful API design and implementation

- Experience with CI/CD tools : Maven, Git, Jenkins

- Proficiency with IDEs: Eclipse or IntelliJ IDEA

Investment Banking Domain :

- Strong understanding of investment banking workflows, trading systems, order management, or post-trade processes.

- Experience working on systems dealing with high-volume, low-latency, and secure transaction processing
