Job Summary :


We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Fabric Administrator to own, manage, and govern enterprise-scale analytics platforms built on Microsoft Fabric.


This role is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, governance, and operational excellence of Fabric environments across the organization.


The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric architecture, workspace administration, OneLake management, security controls, monitoring, and cost optimization, working closely with data engineers, BI teams, and business stakeholders to enable reliable and scalable analytics solutions.


Key Responsibilities :


Platform Administration & Operations :


- Administer and manage Microsoft Fabric environments across development, test, and production.


- Configure and manage Fabric workspaces, capacities, licenses, and tenant-level settings.


- Oversee OneLake storage management, access controls, and lifecycle policies.


- Monitor Fabric workloads to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance.


- Troubleshoot platform issues related to pipelines, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and Power BI artifacts.


Security, Governance & Compliance :


- Implement and manage security controls including RBAC, workspace roles, and data access policies.


- Enforce data governance standards, naming conventions, and best practices across Fabric assets.


- Work with compliance and security teams to ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory standards.


- Manage data access, sharing policies, and auditing within Microsoft Fabric.


- Support integration with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) for identity and access management.


Performance & Cost Optimization :


- Monitor Fabric capacity usage, consumption metrics, and performance indicators.


- Optimize workload distribution and capacity planning to control cost and improve efficiency.


- Identify performance bottlenecks and recommend architectural or configuration improvements.


- Support scaling strategies for growing data and analytics workloads.


Monitoring, Support & Reliability :


- Set up monitoring, alerts, and logging for Fabric pipelines and workloads.


- Provide L2/L3 production support for Fabric-related issues.


- Perform root cause analysis for incidents and drive permanent fixes. Ensure SLAs and operational standards are consistently met.


Collaboration & Enablement :


- Work closely with Data Engineers, BI Developers, and Analytics teams to support their Fabric usage.


- Provide guidance on Fabric best practices, workspace design, and governance models.


- Create and maintain platform documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.


- Assist teams during onboarding and adoption of Microsoft Fabric capabilities.


Required Skills & Qualifications :


- 5+ years of experience in Data Platform Administration or Analytics Platform Management.


- Strong hands-on experience as a Microsoft Fabric Administrator.


- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Fabric components, including: OneLake Lakehouse Fabric Data Warehouse Fabric Data Factory Power BI (Workspaces, Semantic Models, Admin Portal)


- Strong experience with SQL and data platform concepts.


- Solid understanding of data governance, security, and access control models.


- Experience managing enterprise-scale analytics environments.


- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and operational skills.


- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
