As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will lead and manage a team of 5- 20 QA professionals (manual and automation), ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions through robust testing practices and effective team leadership.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities :
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing QA team, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Manage team dynamics, promote collaboration, and ensure effective communication across team members and stakeholders.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and create individual development plans to support career growth.
- Facilitate onboarding and training of new QA team members, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and practices.
- Define and implement QA strategy, aligning with business goals and project timelines.
- Oversee the development and execution of manual and automated test scripts, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Development, Business Analysis) to understand requirements and translate them into effective test plans and scenarios.
- Participate in functional walkthroughs and requirement analysis to shape test approaches and deliverables (e.g., test architecture, scenarios, conditions, cases, data, and expected results).
- Lead the creation and maintenance of test plans in test management tools, ensuring traceability and alignment with project objectives
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in QA processes, tools, and methodologies
- Facilitate the development of custom tools, utilities, or frameworks to support functional and non-functional testing
- Monitor system behavior during performance and load testing, and ensure issues are identified and addressed proactively
- Ensure defects are accurately documented, tracked, and resolved using defect tracking tools.
- Prepare and present test summary reports, metrics, and QA status updates in project and leadership meetings
What Youve Done :
- Lead both manual and automated test team(s) across all test phases.
- Participated in detailed requirement sessions to understand requirements and develop executable test conditions and test cases from them.
- Collaborated with project managers and business stakeholders to align QA activities with project milestones
- Lead quality management reviews as outlined in the Quality Management practice, in particular reviews of the test designs, test strategy and other quality engineering work products.
- Managed Test cases and Test scenarios through project/test management tools and/or defect tracking software
- Prepared and presented test summary reports, metrics, and QA status updates in project and leadership meetings
- quality assurance best practices and standards across the organization
- Experience/knowledge of Claims application testing including but not limited to the following modules :
1. FNOL
2. Automated Processing (Auto Line Creation, Auto Reserves, Automated Assignment)
3. Desktop
4. Financials
5. Forms and Correspondences
6. Party
7. Tasks (Tasks Templates) Defining a workflow and File Notes
8. Integrations etc.
- Experience in creating manual policies in claims to create test data in absence of policy-claims integration.
- Experience/knowledge of software development life cycle for P&C insurance software a plus.
Your Qualification :
Education and Work Experience :
- Bachelors degree required, or higher education level, or foreign equivalent, preferably in area with analytic emphasis.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience, preferably in a similar role
- Experience interfacing with customers, including customer presentations.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills, And/or Abilities :
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Knowledge of software development and QA methodologies
- Experience in gathering requirements, identifying gaps, estimating, implementation, test planning and execution, and User Acceptance Testing definition and execution
- Experience in leading QA teams
- Proficient in implementing quality assurance best practices and standards across the organization.
- Experience translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for assembly, product, and user acceptance testing.
- Experience/knowledge of P&C Insurance software applications.
- Claims V12 knowledge
- Experience/knowledge of software development life cycle for P&C insurance software.
