Duck Creek Policy Developer

Key responsibilities often include :

- Configuring and developing within Duck Creek Policy : This includes using tools like Author, Server, and Example Author to create and modify rating, forms, and business rules.

- Integrating Duck Creek Policy with other systems : This involves working with APIs, XML, and other technologies to connect the system with internal and external platforms.

- Troubleshooting and resolving issues : Identifying and fixing problems within the Duck Creek Policy system, including those related to configuration, data, and integration.

- Collaborating with stakeholders : Working with business analysts, system architects, and other developers to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement changes.

- Documenting and maintaining solutions : Creating and updating documentation for configurations, customizations, and integrations within the Duck Creek Policy system.

- Following best practices : Adhering to coding standards, development methodologies (like Agile/Scrum), and version control practices.

- Mentoring and training : Sharing knowledge and expertise with other team members, potentially including training on Duck Creek Policy features and best practices

Required Skills and Experience :

- Duck Creek Policy experience : Significant hands-on experience with the Duck Creek Policy system, including its various components (Author, Server, Transact, etc.).

- Strong technical skills : Proficiency in programming languages like C#, XML, and SQL, as well as experience with web services and APIs.

- Insurance domain knowledge : Understanding of insurance principles, processes, and workflows, particularly in Personal or Commercial Lines Property & Casualty.

- Experience with Agile/Scrum : Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and working in collaborative, iterative development environments.

- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills : Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders, analyze complex issues, and develop creative solutions.
