Android Developer

Job Purpose:

Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications, ensuring seamless user experience, performance, security, and integration with backend services.

Roles and Responsibilities :

1. Android Application Development :

- Design, develop, test, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Java

- Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable application architecture following MVVM/MVP/Clean Architecture

- Integrate Android Jetpack components including Navigation, Room, ViewModel, LiveData, and WorkManager

- Optimize application performance, memory usage, and battery efficiency

2. UI/UX Implementation :

- Develop responsive and intuitive user interfaces using XML and Jetpack Compose

- Implement Material Design guidelines and ensure compatibility across Android devices

- Support multiple screen sizes and Android OS versions

3. API & Database Integration :

- Integrate RESTful APIs using Retrofit/Volley

- Handle JSON parsing and secure authentication (JWT/OAuth)

- Work with Room, SQLite, and Firebase databases

4. Testing & Deployment :

- Perform unit testing and UI testing using JUnit and Espresso

- Debug crashes using Logcat and Android Studio Profiler

- Publish and maintain apps on Google Play Store

5. Collaboration & Version Control :

- Work closely with UI/UX designers, backend developers, QA, and product teams

- Use Git for source code management and participate in code reviews

Qualification/Experience :

Education : B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field

Experience :

- 2+ years of Android application development experience

- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java

- Experience with Android Studio, Git, REST APIs, and Firebase

- Freshers with strong Android projects/internships may be considered

- GitHub portfolio or published Play Store apps preferred
