Role Overview :

As Tech Lead, you will own the design, delivery, and quality of one of DriveX's core product areas. You will lead a small team of engineers, set the technical direction, and partner closely with Product, Design, and Business teams to ship reliable, scalable systems that directly impact customers, store staff, and partners on the ground.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead end-to-end design and delivery of features across backend (Python) & Frontend (React)for a critical product area.

- Architect scalable, secure, and cost-efficient services on AWS using PostgreSQL as the primary data store.

- Drive technical decisions : API design, data modelling, service boundaries, caching, queuing, and integration patterns.

- Own code quality through reviews, standards, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and on-call practices.

- Mentor and grow a team of 3- 6 engineers; set goals, give feedback, and run effective 1:1s.

- Partner with Product Managers and Designers to shape the roadmap, break down problems, and balance scope, quality, and timelines.

- Collaborate with DevOps to optimize AWS infrastructure (EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.) for cost and reliability.

Must-Have Qualifications :

- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.

- Strong backend expertise in Python (Django, FastAPI, or Flask) building production-grade APIs and services.

- Deep working knowledge of PostgreSQL - schema design, indexing, query optimization, migrations.

- Hands-on experience deploying and operating workloads on AWS (compute, networking, storage, IAM, monitoring).

- Proven track record of designing distributed systems and shipping at scale.

- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, system design, and software engineering best practices.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead through influence.

- Prior experience in automotive, mobility, retail-tech, fintech, or high-growth consumer startups.

- Good frontend experience with React (hooks, state management, performance, component architecture).
