Position : Fusion PLM Consultant


Experience : 7-10 yrs


Location : Chennai


Seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Functional Consultant with 7+ years in Oracle Cloud/PLM implementations. The consultant will lead PLM process design, configuration, and rollout, working closely with product, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to streamline end-to-end product lifecycle management.


Key Responsibilities :


- Act as functional SME for Oracle Fusion PLM modules such as Product Development, Product Hub, and Quality.


- Lead requirements workshops, fitgap analysis, solution design, and configuration for new product introduction, item master, item structures, and product change control.


- Configure and manage BOMs, change orders (ECOs), approvals, versions/revisions, and related workflows.


- Enable and support PLM-driven processes for quality (non-conformances, CAPA, inspections) and compliance.


- Collaborate with technical teams to integrate PLM with ERP/SCM, manufacturing, and external systems (e.g., CAD/PLM sources).


- Define and maintain PLM data standards, governance rules, and validations to ensure a single source of product truth.


- Prepare functional documents (BRD, solution design, configuration workbooks, test scenarios, training materials).


- Drive and support SIT/UAT, user training, go-live, and hypercare for PLM initiatives.


- Analyze issues, troubleshoot functional problems, and propose improvements for performance and usability.


- Track Oracle quarterly updates, assess impact on PLM processes, and roll out new features where beneficial.


Required Qualifications :


- Bachelors/Masters in Engineering, Supply Chain, IT, or related discipline.


- Minimum 7 years experience as an Oracle Fusion PLM / Oracle Cloud PLM functional consultant.


- Hands-on configuration experience in Product Development, Product Hub, and/or Quality modules.


- Strong understanding of product lifecycle processes : NPI/NPD, item and BOM management, change management, and quality workflows.


- Experience in at least two end-to-end Oracle Fusion/Cloud PLM implementations.


- Good understanding of integration touchpoints between PLM and ERP/SCM (Inventory, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality).


- Proficient in writing functional specs, test scripts, and conducting CRP/UAT sessions.


- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
