Role Overview :
As the Director of UI/UX Design, you will be responsible for defining and executing the overall design vision and strategy for our digital products.
Youll lead a team of talented designers, collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to create seamless and engaging user experiences across multiple platforms.
This is a leadership role, where you will inspire and guide your team while ensuring that design processes align with business objectives and user needs.
Key Responsibilities :
Leadership & Team Development : Lead, mentor, and manage a team of UI/UX designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
Design Strategy : Define and communicate the UI/UX design vision, ensuring alignment with product goals and user needs.
Collaboration : Work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other teams to ensure design solutions meet business requirements, user needs, and technical constraints.
- Promote a user-centered design approach across the organization.
User Research & Testing : Oversee the creation and execution of user research, usability testing, and data-driven design decisions.
- Analyze user feedback and behavior to continuously improve the design of our products.
Design Systems : Develop and maintain a scalable design system that ensures consistency across all platforms, products, and features.
Project Management : Manage design deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Innovation & Trends : Stay current on design trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
Stakeholder Communication : Present design concepts, prototypes, and final deliverables to key stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate design rationale and decision-making processes to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications :
Experience : 12+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role.
Portfolio : Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects, demonstrating expertise in user-centered design principles, interface design, and problem-solving.
Design Skills : Deep knowledge of design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite) and prototyping tools (e.g., InVision, Axure, etc.).
User-Centered Focus : Demonstrated ability to conduct and analyze user research, develop personas, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
Leadership : Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams.
Education : Bachelors degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
