Director - Software Quality Assurance

Job Description :

We're looking for a Director of QA to lead quality engineering across GoComet's product and delivery landscape. You'll ensure that every client-facing release meets the highest reliability and usability standards, especially for Fortune 500 clients like Unilever, Apple, and Koch. This role goes beyond test execution. You'll build a test organization that's deeply aligned with customer expectations, product risk, and delivery timelines, while never compromising on quality. You'll define QA strategy, build scalable processes, and lead a team that finds issues before customers do.

Responsibilities :

- Build and lead the QA function across product pods and implementation teams.

- Define test strategy, risk-based test plans, regression suites, and automation coverage aligned with customer SLAs.

- Extensive use of AI for automation and testing.

- Drive ownership of end-to-end testing for both standard products and client-specific customizations.

- Collaborate with product, delivery, and SRE teams to identify risk zones and implement quality gates.

- Enforce strict quality reviews before go-live; nothing ships to a client without your team's sign-off.

- Ensure QA visibility across all releases : staging readiness, UAT alignment, and post-production monitoring.

- Hire, coach, and manage a high-performing QA team with a mix of manual and automation testers.

- Implement smart automation that helps the team scale without blindly automating everything.

- Standardize QA dashboards, defect SLAs, and RCA reporting to drive accountability.

- Champion a customer-first mindset in every testing effort.

Requirements :

- 6+ years of experience in software QA/testing roles, with 4+ years in QA leadership.

- Proven track record of designing QA processes in high-scale SaaS or enterprise software environments.

- Strong understanding of end-to-end testing : functional, regression, integration, UAT, and performance.

- Experience in client-facing roles/projects.

- Exposure to writing automation with AI and understanding of LLMs.

- Experience working across multiple engineering pods or product verticals simultaneously.

- Exposure to both manual and automation testing practices; ability to build balanced QA strategies.

- Hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, etc.

- Strong collaboration skills, able to align with product managers, delivery leads, and developers.

- Experience implementing test environments, CI/CD test gates, and production observability for QA.

- Excellent debugging, risk assessment, and prioritization instincts.
