Director of Engineering - System Design

Responsibilities :

- Lead and mentor engineering teams, driving best practices and technical excellence.

- Translate business needs into product and engineering strategies for seamless delivery.

- Contribute to product strategy with a strong understanding of business goals and customer needs.

- Architect, design, and scale core systems to handle business growth.

- Collaborate with stakeholders across business functions to ensure technology enables business success.

- Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements :

- 8+ years of experience in core engineering roles (software development, architecture, system design).

- Proven track record in product-based companies(mobility, logistics, EV, automobile, or early startups preferred).

- Strong technical expertise in scalable distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and core engineering practices.

- Experience in building, mentoring, and scaling engineering teams.

- Ability to partner with product leaders, engineering managers, and business stakeholders to drive alignment.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills to bridge business needs and technical execution.

Nice to Have :

- Experience in mobility, logistics, EV, or automobile sectors.

- Exposure to fast-scaling environments (startup/scale-up experience).

- Hands-on experience in modern tech stacks (Node.js, Java, Golang, cloud platforms).
