We are looking for a Director of Engineering with a strong focus on execution and delivery.
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who excels in managing engineering teams, driving timely execution, and ensuring high-quality software delivery.
The ideal candidate will work closely with product, design, and business teams to translate business goals into robust technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Engineering Execution & Delivery :
- Own the end-to-end execution of engineering projects, ensuring on-time delivery with high quality.
- Drive agile development processes, ensuring efficient sprint planning, backlog grooming, and milestone tracking.
- Optimize release cycles, code quality, and system performance while minimizing technical debt.
- Lead and unblock teams by identifying bottlenecks, mitigating risks, and ensuring continuous progress.
2. Team Leadership & Management :
- Manage, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams.
- Ensure clear ownership and accountability within the team for successful execution.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance where needed, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with the hiring team to attract and retain top engineering talent.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Work closely with product managers, business stakeholders, and other engineering leaders to align technology execution with company goals.
- Ensure seamless coordination between backend, frontend, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver scalable solutions.
- Translate business requirements into technical roadmaps and execution plans.
4. System Scalability & Stability :
- Ensure the stability, security, and scalability of existing systems while enabling new feature development.
- Optimize performance and system reliability while ensuring cost-efficient infrastructure.
- Ensure strong DevOps and CI/CD practices to support smooth and frequent deployments.
Attributes we are looking for :
- Proven experience in driving execution in fast-paced environments, preferably in fintech or consumer tech.
- Hands-on experience with backend (Java) and frontend (React) technologies.
- Expertise in Agile, Scrum, and project management tools (JIRA, Asana, Trello).
- Strong people management skills with a track record of mentoring and growing engineering teams.
Experience Range : 10 - 15 years
Educational Qualifications : B.Tech/B.E ,and M.Tech
Skills Required : Java , Spring
