Job Title : Director - IT Payer (Clinical Domain)

Summary :

This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of application development projects and programs within the Clinical domain of the US Healthcare Payer industry. The role requires a visionary leader with a strong technical foundation, exceptional people management capabilities, and a deep understanding of clinical operations such as Utilization Management and Care Management.

The Director will lead a cross-functional team of Developers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts while closely collaborating with functions such as Enterprise IT Architecture and Quality Assurance. Operating within a matrixed environment, this leader will work closely with US counterparts and internal teams to ensure strategic alignment, efficient resource utilization, and delivery excellence.

Leadership and Team Management :

Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Clinical IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Delivery and Project Management :

Lead the successful execution and delivery of multiple application development initiatives within the Clinical domain.

Required Qualifications :

- Minimum 15 years of experience in the US Healthcare Payer industry.

- Proven experience within the Clinical domain (Utilization Management, Care Management, or related areas).

- Demonstrated success in leading large, cross-functional technology teams.

- Strong track record of delivering complex application development projects.

- Expertise in Agile development methodologies and software delivery frameworks.

- Experience with demand and capacity planning and vendor coordination.

- Strong understanding of healthcare data exchange standards including HL7, CCD, FHIR, X12, and emerging interoperability standards.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

- Experience working in matrixed organizational structures.

- Knowledge of the broader healthcare ecosystem including Payers, Providers, HIEs, and IDNs.
