Job Title: Consulting Analyst

Job Description

Role Summary:

As a Consulting Analyst, the candidate help design and execute analyses to address business problems for clients in the pharma/life sciences domain. This role involves leading and mentoring a team of junior analysts and supporting the growth and development of the team. The candidate will work closely with the clients to deliver customized analytical solutions.

Essential Functions:

Design and Execute Business Solutions:

- Work with senior team members to address client business needs for developing and delivering solutions that will provide critical insights through quantitative analyses and data modelling

- Leverage analytical techniques and platforms to design business solutions that address client needs

- Prepare project plans and execution strategies in collaboration with senior leadership

- Create and maintain SOPs, quality checklists, and documentation to ensure high-quality outputs

- Synthesize and communicate results to clients through oral and written presentations

Solve unstructured business problems:

- Actively execute unstructured problem solving to design and build complex solutions, tune to meet expected performance and functional requirements under the guidance of immediate lead

- Leverage prior experience to provide business solutions that will help reduce the turnaround time of ad-hoc analytical requests

Mentor Junior Members:

- Mentor and provide constructive feedback to junior team members to positively influence the personal and professional growth of the team

- Coach junior team members with the relevant tools, technologies, and domain

- Support in recruitment and onboarding of new analysts within the organization under the guidance of the immediate lead

Contribute to the Centre of Excellence (CoE) :

- Work with other colleagues/junior members across teams to develop and conduct capability/feature PoCs for developing expertise within the organization

- Proactively research emerging technology and industry trends to develop point of views (PoVs)

- Analyse healthcare data to identify the latest trends, patterns, and insights to help build collaterals

The roles and responsibilities will continuously evolve basis the project allocation and client requirements.

Additional Functions:

- Actively engage in self-learning and professional development to enhance consulting, domain, and technical expertise by participating in workshops, certification programs, and industry events.

- Contribute to internal knowledge repositories by documenting project insights, methodologies, and case studies to support organizational learning and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

- Collaborate with senior team members to prepare high-quality client deliverables, including reports, dashboards, and presentations, ensuring actionable insights and clarity.

- Support business development activities, such as creating collateral, conducting market research, and preparing client proposals, to drive new opportunities and organizational growth.

- Assist in fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation by participating in team brainstorming sessions and cross-functional initiatives to improve processes and project outcomes.

Candidate's Profile

Essential Qualifications:

B-Tech. or B.E. in any engineering discipline or PG in Statistics/ Mathematics/ Operation Research or B.Sc. in Computer Science or a similar course.

Experience:

- 1-3 years of relevant consulting experience (preferably pharma) in analytics

- 1-2 years of experience in commercial analytics, such as sales and marketing data analysis, commercial organization design, incentive compensation, market access, pricing strategy, and forecasting.

- Proficiency in technical and analytical tools such as MS Office, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, R, Python, etc.).

- Experience in managing/mentoring 2-3 team members while providing necessary mentorship/ guidance for the team's growth

- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex ideas to clients and team members

- Proactive and hands-on approach with the required flexibility and ability to solve complex business problems by applying logical reasoning and critical thinking

- Ability to work effectively in team environments, share insights, and contribute to collective problem-solving efforts

- Strong time management skills and adaptable to changes, capable of handling multiple tasks, and working well under pressure
