About the Role :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Quality Assurance (Manual Tester) to join our QA team.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in analyzing requirements, creating test plans, executing manual test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.
You will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to ensure that all features meet the expected standards before release.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review and analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation to understand project scope.
- Design, develop, and maintain test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Execute manual test cases and document results with accuracy and clarity.
- Identify, log, and track defects using standard bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps).
- Work closely with development and product teams to reproduce and resolve issues.
- Perform UI testing, usability testing, cross-browser testing, and compatibility checks.
- Validate data accuracy and perform basic database testing using SQL queries.
- Participate in test planning, estimation, and review meetings.
- Ensure adherence to QA processes, standards, and best practices.
- Provide clear and concise status reports to QA leads and project managers.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement within the QA workflow.
Requirements and Skills :
Technical Skills :
- 2 - 4 years of experience in Manual Testing or Software QA.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Hands-on experience in different testing types :
- Functional Testing
- Regression Testing
- Integration Testing
- System Testing
- Smoke & Sanity Testing
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Experience working with test management and defect-tracking tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail, ALM/QC, or similar.
- Good understanding of API testing fundamentals (Postman knowledge is a plus).
- Ability to write and execute SQL queries for backend validation.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in cross-functional teams
