About the Role :

Our DevOps function supports both product systems and custom client deployments. You will work across both environments - keeping operations running reliably while building the automation and AI-driven tooling that reduces manual work over time.

What You'll Do :

- Run and improve CI/CD pipelines for product and custom client deployments.

- Provision and manage cloud infrastructure (compute, networking, storage).

- Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting across environments.

- Execute and improve runbooks for routine ops and incident response.

- Support database operations and backups (MariaDB, PostgreSQL).

- Assist with on-call rotation and first-line incident triage.

- Automate repetitive ops using scripting and AI-assisted workflows.

- Use AI coding/ops tools (Claude Code, LLM-driven runbooks) to speed up day-to-day work and reduce manual toil.

How You'll Work :

- Default to automation. If a task is done more than twice, script or automate it.

- Use AI tools to draft runbooks, debug faster, and generate first-pass automation - with human review before anything touches production.

- Treat infrastructure as code. Manual changes are the exception, not the norm.

- Document as you go so AI tooling and teammates can build on your work.

What We're Looking For :

We value a bias toward automation, clean scripting habits, and a genuine interest in AI-assisted ops. You will thrive in this role if you :

- Reach for a script before doing anything manually a second time.

- Are comfortable working across both product and client-facing environments simultaneously.

- Take ownership of incidents - you triage, document, and follow through to resolution.

- Are genuinely curious about AI tools and how they can reduce operational toil.

- Communicate clearly with developers and non-technical stakeholders alike.

Must-Haves :

Technical Skills :

- Linux fundamentals and shell scripting - Bash is non-negotiable; you should be comfortable on the command line.

- Working knowledge of AWS.

- Familiarity with Docker and container basics.

- Basic CI/CD exposure - GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar.

- Version control with Git.

- Comfort using AI tools - LLMs, AI coding assistants - as part of daily work.

Mindset & Working Style :

- Eagerness to learn infrastructure-as-code and monitoring tooling.

- Strong documentation discipline - runbooks, incident notes, and environment configs kept current.

- Ownership and accountability - you follow incidents to closure, not just acknowledgement.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Good to Have :

- Exposure to Frappe/Python application deployment.

- Basic database administration - MariaDB or PostgreSQL.

- Familiarity with Nginx or reverse-proxy setups.

- Infrastructure-as-code - Terraform, Ansible, or similar.

- Experience scripting against LLM APIs or building AI-assisted automation.

At Dhwani, AI tools are part of the daily engineering workflow. We encourage engineers to use AI for scripting, runbook generation, debugging, documentation, and automation design.
