Role Description :

This is a full-time remote role for a Scala Developer.

The Scala Developer will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining scalable software solutions.

Day-to-day tasks include writing and reviewing code, participating in code reviews, and working with microservices and functional programming principles.

The developer will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software features and improvements.

Required skills : Scala, Akka, Cats Effects, http4s, NGINX, Neo4j, Kafka, Zookeeper.

- At least 4 years professional experience in Scala programmer roles with either Akka or Play framework hands-on experience and experience with any functional programming library in Scala.

- Fluency in functional programming.

- Analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.

- Experience with HTTP/REST services.

- Experience with micro-services.

- Experience in any NoSQL DB and should have knowledge on SQL as well.

- Communication and collaboration skills in English.

Skills considered a plus :

- Experience in using non-blocking IO.

- Multi-threaded and parallel programming.

- Experience with Gemfire/Geode or other distributed database or cache.

- Object-oriented & Functional patterns.

- Bash shell scripting.
