DevOps/Platform Engineer

Description :

The ideal candidate will have a strong DevOps / Platform Engineering background and the ability to drive adoption across multiple engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Developer Experience & Platform :

- Own and improve developer onboarding and day-to-day engineering experience

- Define and implement standard engineering practices and golden paths

- Build reusable templates, frameworks, and self-service tools

- Drive adoption of platform capabilities across teams

2. CI/CD & Release Engineering :

- Define and standardize CI/CD pipeline templates

- Drive adoption of automated build, test, deploy, and rollback practices

- Promote Everything as Code and pipeline standardization

- Work with tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar

3. Code Quality & Governance :

- Define and enforce code quality standards and quality gates

- Drive adoption of tools like SonarQube or similar

- Enable teams to track and reduce technical debt

4. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) :

- Define and maintain reusable Terraform templates/modules

- Standardize environment provisioning and infrastructure patterns

- Enable self-service infrastructure provisioning

5. Observability & Reliability :

- Define standards for logging, metrics, dashboards, and alerting

- Enable teams to define and own SLIs/SLOs

- Improve incident response practices and visibility

6. QA & Security Automation :

- Drive adoption of test automation frameworks within CI/CD pipelines

- Standardize unit, integration, and E2E testing practices

- Enable DevSecOps practices (SAST, secrets scanning, secure pipelines)

7. Engineering Metrics :

Define and implement DORA Metrics across teams :

- Deployment Frequency

- Lead Time for Changes

- Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR)

- Change Failure Rate

Additional responsibilities :

- Build dashboards and insights at squad level

- Use data to drive engineering improvements

Must-Have Skills :

- Strong experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Developer Experience

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)

- Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes

- Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code

- Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)

- Strong understanding of SDLC and developer workflows

- Scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, or Node.js)

- Proven ability to define standards and drive adoption across teams

Good-to-Have Skills :

- Experience building Internal Developer Platforms (IDP)

- Exposure to Backstage or similar service catalog tools

- Experience with GitOps tools (ArgoCD / Flux)

- Experience working with large, multi-team engineering organizations
