Role Overview :
We are seeking a seasoned DevOps Lead with proven expertise in building, managing, and optimizing enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines within the payments domain. This role requires deep technical proficiency in cloud-native architectures, payment security standards (PCI DSS), and automation frameworks, along with strong leadership skills to drive operational excellence across globally distributed teams.
The DevOps Lead will be responsible for ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performance delivery pipelines, while implementing best-in-class security practices for payment processing systems. You will collaborate closely with engineering, security, compliance, and operations teams to ensure that deployments meet stringent industry regulations without compromising speed or quality.
Key Responsibilities :
Leadership & Strategy :
- Lead a cross-functional DevOps team, mentoring engineers and driving adoption of best practices.
- Define and execute the DevOps strategy for high-availability, low-latency payment systems.
- Partner with product, engineering, and compliance teams to ensure alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
- Cloud & Infrastructure Management
- Architect, deploy, and maintain multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) with a focus on scalability, resilience, and security.
- Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent tools.
- Automation & CI/CD
- Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps to enable zero-downtime deployments.
- Integrate automated testing, code quality checks, and security scans into pipelines.
- Payment Security & Compliance
- Ensure systems are PCI DSS-compliant and meet other payment security standards.
- Implement encryption, tokenization, and secure key management for payment transactions.
- Monitoring & Reliability
- Deploy and manage observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
- Implement incident response automation, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement processes.
- Automation & Emerging Tech
- Lead automation initiatives using RPA, AI/ML-based monitoring, and self-healing infrastructure.
- Evaluate and implement new DevOps tools and practices for process efficiency.
Required Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
Experience :
- 8+ years in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles.
- Minimum 3 years in a technical leadership capacity.
- Hands-on experience with payment systems, PCI DSS compliance, and secure cloud deployments.
Technical Skills :
Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP (multi-cloud experience preferred)
Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
CI/CD & Automation: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible
