Job Description :

Typical Responsibilities of a DevOps Engineer (for .NET & Windows on-prem) :

- Source Control Management (Git, Azure Repos, GitHub, Bitbucket).

- Build Automation using tools like Azure DevOps Pipelines, TeamCity, Jenkins (with Windows agents).

- CI/CD Pipeline setup for .NET applications (WebApps, APIs, Windows Services).

- Infrastructure management - Windows Servers (IIS configuration, SSL certificates, Active Directory integrations).

- Deployment automation (MSDeploy, Octopus Deploy, custom PowerShell scripts).

- Monitoring & Logging (using tools like Prometheus + Grafana, Nagios, Windows Event Viewer, SCOM, AppInsights).

- Backup and Recovery Strategy (for app, database, server configs).

- Security Compliance (patching, hardening, endpoint security).

- Configuration Management (Ansible for Windows, PowerShell DSC).

- Environment Management (Dev, QA, UAT, Production).

- Database Deployment Automation (SQL Server schema migration, backup/restore).
