About the Role :

We are hiring a DevOps Engineer - Release Management to support and streamline release activities for enterprise applications. The role involves managing deployment pipelines, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring smooth and reliable releases across environments. The candidate must have strong knowledge of DevOps release tools and be comfortable working in fast-paced delivery cycles.

This position also requires flexibility to provide night shift support one week every month, aligning with global release schedules.

Key Responsibilities :

- Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing software releases across multiple environments.

- Develop, maintain, and monitor CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployments.

- Work closely with developers, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure successful and timely releases.

- Troubleshoot and resolve build and deployment issues.

- Maintain accurate release documentation, deployment notes, and checklists.

- Ensure compliance with release and change management processes.

- Support global release cycles by providing night shift coverage during designated weeks.

- Continuously improve release automation, monitoring, and rollback strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 3-5 years of experience in DevOps or Release Engineering.

- Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Bamboo, or Azure DevOps.

- Proficiency in version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket).

- Scripting experience in Shell, Python, or Groovy.

- Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable.

- Basic understanding of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible).

- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) preferred.

- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and resolve deployment issues.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Education & Certifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- DevOps or Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP) will be an added advantage.
