DevOps Engineer III - Docker/Kubernetes

Job Requirements :

We have an exciting opportunity within Phenompeople to join an Enterprise Architecture SRE CoE.

You will be working with technologies such as K8s,Docker,Spinnaker,Ansible/Chef, AWS, Jenkins, Artifactory, Bitbucket(GIT as well),Terraform and so on to deliver new features in order to enable the Business Units to deliver faster.

You will play a critical role in designing, developing and implementing best practices and automation for the Pipeline as a Service team also take care of BAU activities.

Responsibilities :

- Problem solving, process mapping and research.

- Initial research will be done at the start of any new project to fully understand the requirement and any potential solutions.

- Develop automated requests that flow through a complete end-to-end process.

- Investigate and remediate any failures with our automated tasks or processes.

- Maintain and improve day to day processes and existing code.

- Adhere to best practices and complete meticulous documentation.

- Actively participate in our AGILE methodology and SCRUM ceremonies.

- Collaborate with all areas of the business as required and represent the DevSecOps team.

Work Experience :

- Should be great team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

- Jenkins proficiency.

- Good understanding of distributed version control systems like GIT.

- Experience in CI/CD processes and practices.

- Expertise in automated build and deploy processes and tools.

- In-depth understanding of code and scripting languages such as BASH, YAML, Python.

- Experience with SQL.

- Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as SCRUM.

- Experience in any one of Configuration management tools like Slatstack,Chef Ansible and Puppet.

- Strong Linux System Administration experience within a complex multi-tier environment.

- Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services such as AWS, IaC technologies as terraform, Kuberentes, etc.

- Working experience with the Atlassian suite (including Jira, Bitbucket and Confluence).

Desirables :

- Familiar with ServiceNow or other ITSM tools.

- Proven previous job stability, including maintaining long-term work relationships with former employers.

- Experience with ITIL methodology.

- Java/Python programming.

- AWS/AZURE certification.

- Strong understanding of trends in DevOps and SRE implementations.
