ShopDeck is democratizing D2C in India by making it as simple as selling on marketplaces. Our platform combines software and services to support every aspect of a merchants business - including storefront management, pricing, shipping, and marketing - all with a single focus : maximizing profitability.

Responsibilities :

- CI/CD ownership : Maintain and enhance CI/CD systems (GitLab CI, Jenkins, Artifactory) that support multiple tech stacks (Node.js, Scala, etc.).

- Platform operation & scaling : Operate and scale hundreds of containerized microservices running on AWS (ECS/EKS), ensuring reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency.

- Design & implementation : Design abstractions, services, and automation; write clean, testable, and maintainable code to support platform requirements.

- Infrastructure as Code & configuration : Implement and maintain IaC and configuration management (Terraform, Ansible, etc.) to enable repeatable, versioned infrastructure changes.

- Automation : Automate deployments, configurations, and operational runbooks to reduce manual interventions and decrease MTTR.

- Observability & reliability : Improve monitoring, alerting, and fault-tolerance across systems (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, APM), proactively reducing incidents.

- Innovation & continuous improvement : Evaluate and introduce new tools, practices, and architectural improvements to strengthen the platform and development productivity.

Requirements :

- Experience : 3+ years in production infrastructure, SRE, or DevOps roles; experience in E?commerce/Internet platforms is a plus.

- Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.

- Networking & architecture : Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, load balancing) and server-side architecture (APIs, databases, service interactions).

- Automation & scripting : Proficiency with Python, Bash, or Node.js for automation and scripting tasks.

- IaC & tooling : Hands-on experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools and CI/CD tooling (GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory).

- Cloud & containers : Practical knowledge of AWS and/or GCP services; strong experience with Docker and orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS or ECS).

- Observability & ops toolset : Familiarity with Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack, and APM tools for monitoring and troubleshooting.

- Databases & messaging : Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB) and message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

- Impact & initiative : Demonstrated ability to propose and drive architectural or process improvements that increase robustness, scalability, or operational efficiency.

- Nice to have : Experience with Artifactory, advanced networking, large-scale distributed systems, or previous work in high-traffic e-commerce environments.
