Role : DevOps Engineer

Short Description :

- 8-10 Years of relevant experience in modern DevOps practices.

- Define and maintain different deployment environments (e.g. development, Staging, UAT, production)

- Configure servers, cloud environments to meet the platform requirements.

- Onboard VNF/CNF from the binaries and automate configuration management using tools like Ansible, etc.

- Develop, maintain, and support the technical infrastructure, hardware and system software components, Storage Area Networks (SANs), IP Networks.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define deployment strategies (e.g. Blue-green deployments, canary releases)

- Solid system level troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.

Mandatory Skillset:

- Strong understanding of Cloud-native and traditional BareMetal and Virtualized solution experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins.

- Good working experience with container runtime like Docker/Podman and helm for k8s package management along with configuration management tools like Ansible

- Strong understanding of on-prem/private and public cloud platforms such as OpenStack, RedHat OpenShift, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell etc.

- Hands-on experience in Linux particularly RHEL/Rocky Linux concepts including understanding and fine tuning of kernel parameters.

- Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration.

- Experience in debugging and monitoring tools like Wireshark/tcpdump

- Working knowledge of GitHub/Gerrit (GIT), JIRA.

- Good Soft skills Interaction with Customer/market or internal teams.

Good to have :

- Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing.

- Knowledge of database management and optimization

- Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps culture

- Telecom Domain knowledge, including understanding of 2G/3G/4G/5G/VoIP/VoWifi core network Architecture. Location services (LCS) including emergency and commercial location services is a plus.

- Experience with telecom protocols such as SS7, Diameter, SIP, HTTP2. Understanding of TLS (v1.2 and above).

- Writing and executing test plans, test cases, and automated test suites.

- Building and maintaining our development and production environments, ensuring seamless integration and deployment of applications (Both VNF and CNF).

- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the software delivery process.

- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline workflows and improve productivity.

- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Ansible etc.

- Implement and manage container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Docker/podman.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.

- Monitor and maintain system performance, reliability, and security.

- Keeping up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends and best practices.
