DevOps Engineer
About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our technical team.
In this role, you will be responsible for streamlining and optimizing our software development and operational workflows.
Your expertise in continuous integration, continuous delivery, automation, and infrastructure as code will be critical in building scalable, reliable, and efficient systems.
Roles and Responsibilities
- CI/CD Pipeline Management : Design, implement, and maintain robust Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
- Automation and Scripting : Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Groovy to automate infrastructure provisioning, application deployments, and routine operational tasks.
- Build Automation : Administer and optimize Jenkins environments, including managing plugins, configuring jobs, and troubleshooting build failures.
- Version Control and Collaboration : Manage GitHub repositories, implement branching strategies, configure pull request workflows, and facilitate code reviews to ensure code quality and efficient collaboration.
- Project Tracking & Workflow Management : Configure and manage JIRA workflows, boards, and reporting to support agile project management, incident tracking, and task coordination.
- Monitoring and Logging : Implement, configure, and maintain comprehensive monitoring and logging systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) to ensure system health, performance, and proactive issue detection.
- Cross-functional Collaboration : Collaborate closely with development, quality assurance, and operations teams to identify bottlenecks, improve processes, and ensure smooth software releases.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Contribute to the development and maintenance of Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) to ensure consistent and reproducible environment deployments.
- DevSecOps Practices : Integrate security practices into the CI/CD pipeline, implementing automated security scanning and vulnerability management.
Qualifications
- Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Experience : 3+ years of hands-on experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or similar technical role.
- Scripting : Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Groovy.
- Core Tools : Hands-on experience with Jenkins for CI/CD, GitHub for version control, and JIRA for agile project management is required.
- Containerization : Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration is a significant plus.
- Operating Systems : Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Communication : Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and strong problem-solving abilities
