Job Title : DevOps Engineer - Contract to Hire

Experience Required : 7+ years overall IT experience, with minimum 6 years hands-on DevOps experience

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team on a long-term, contract-to-hire engagement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, managing, and automating infrastructure and deployment pipelines for cloud-based applications. This is a remote opportunity, with immediate joining for a high-impact project.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS.

- Build, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.

- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform.

- Develop automation scripts and tools using Python for CI/CD pipelines and operational tasks.

- Implement Argo CD for continuous deployment and GitOps-based workflows.

- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize deployments.

- Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to streamline the software delivery lifecycle.

- Ensure best practices for security, scalability, and reliability are followed across DevOps processes.

- Participate in documentation and knowledge sharing for DevOps processes, tools, and practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 7+ years of overall IT experience with minimum 6 years hands-on DevOps experience.

- Strong hands-on experience with :

AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, etc.)
Kubernetes (cluster setup, management, deployment strategies)
Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Python scripting for automation and tooling
Argo CD or similar GitOps deployment tools

Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps methodologies, and agile software development.

Experience in containerization, orchestration, and microservices architecture.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills (Optional)

Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, DataDog).

Knowledge of additional automation tools like Ansible, Jenkins, or Chef.

Familiarity with security best practices in cloud and containerized environments.
