DevOps Administrator Jenkins & Kubernetes :

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Administrator with strong hands-on expertise in Jenkins and Kubernetes to manage, maintain and support the organization's DevOps environment.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of the end-to-end DevOps lifecycle and CI/CD processes, with primary responsibility for administration, configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting of Jenkins and Kubernetes environments.

This is primarily an administration and support role rather than a DevOps development/engineering role.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer, configure, maintain and troubleshoot Jenkins environments.

- Manage Jenkins jobs, pipelines, plugins, credentials, nodes/agents and integrations.

- Monitor Jenkins environments and resolve build, deployment and pipeline-related issues.

- Administer and support Kubernetes clusters and containerized application environments.

- Monitor Kubernetes pods, nodes, deployments and services and troubleshoot cluster/application issues.

- Perform routine Kubernetes administration activities including deployments, scaling, configuration and environment maintenance.

- Support application deployments across development, testing, staging and production environments.

- Understand and support the complete DevOps and CI/CD lifecycle, from code integration through build, testing, deployment and monitoring.

- Troubleshoot deployment failures, infrastructure issues and CI/CD pipeline problems.

- Work closely with development, testing, infrastructure and application support teams to ensure smooth deployments.

- Monitor the health and availability of DevOps platforms and proactively address operational issues.

- Support release and deployment activities and ensure stability of the DevOps environment.

- Follow organizational security, access management and operational processes.

Mandatory Skills :

- 5-8 years of overall IT/DevOps experience.

- Strong hands-on experience in Jenkins Administration.

- Strong hands-on experience in Kubernetes Administration.

- Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and the complete DevOps lifecycle.

- Experience in Jenkins configuration, pipeline/job management, plugins, nodes/agents and troubleshooting.

- Experience in Kubernetes cluster administration and troubleshooting.

- Good understanding of Docker / containerization.

- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix administration.

- Familiarity with Git/version control systems.

- Strong troubleshooting and production/platform support skills.

- Ability to work with development, QA and infrastructure teams.

Good to Have :

- Exposure to Ansible, Terraform or other infrastructure/configuration management tools.

- Exposure to AWS/Azure or other cloud environments.

- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools.

- Exposure to Helm and Kubernetes deployment configurations.

- Experience working in enterprise or BFSI environments.

Preferred Candidate Profile :

- We are specifically looking for candidates who have worked in a DevOps Administrator, Jenkins Administrator, Kubernetes Administrator, CI/CD Administrator or DevOps Platform Support capacity.

- Candidates whose experience is predominantly focused on software development or cloud/DevOps engineering with limited hands-on administration of Jenkins and Kubernetes may not be suitable for this requirement.
