The Deputy Manager / L3 Infrastructure Engineer IT Infrastructure will work closely with the Head of IT to plan, implement, manage, and optimize the organizations critical IT infrastructure. The role requires deep technical expertise, hands-on troubleshooting capabilities, and strong leadership to guide the IT Infrastructure team. This position is responsible for ensuring high system availability, robust security, effective capacity management, and successful execution of IT infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of driving strategic improvements that support business continuity and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities :

Infrastructure Management & Operations :

- Oversee the stability, performance, and security of server systems, networks, storage, backups, and cloud services.

- Perform advanced L3-level troubleshooting for critical incidents and ensure timely resolution.

- Monitor infrastructure capacity, utilization, and overall health to anticipate future needs.

- Ensure high availability and optimal performance of business-critical applications and infrastructure components.

Technical Leadership :

- Provide expert guidance to the IT Infrastructure team on complex technical challenges.

- Act as an escalation point for L1/L2 teams to resolve issues related to servers, networking, virtualization, cloud, and security.

- Implement industry best practices and drive infrastructure improvements.

Project Management :

- Lead infrastructure upgrade and deployment projects, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and execution.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new system implementations and technology initiatives.

- Ensure documentation, SOPs, and configurations are consistently maintained and updated.

Security & Compliance :

- Implement and maintain security policies, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.

- Support internal and external audits by ensuring IT systems adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements.

- Work with the Head of IT to strengthen cybersecurity posture through proactive monitoring and controls.

Strategic Planning :

- Contribute to the long-term IT strategy, including infrastructure modernization and cloud adoption.

- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency, scalability, and security.

- Participate in budgeting for infrastructure, licensing, hardware refresh cycles, and maintenance contracts.

Key Requirements (Qualifications & Skills) :

Education : Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience :

- Minimum 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management.

- At least 2+ years of leadership or team management experience.

- Strong hands-on expertise in : Server Administration (Windows/Linux), Network Infrastructure (LAN/WAN, firewalls, routing, switching), Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)

- Storage & Backup solutions, Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) preferred Certifications (Preferred) Cloud certifications (Azure/AWS) Networking certifications (CCNA/CCNP) Microsoft certifications (MCSE/MCSA)

Skills :

- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills for critical incident resolution.

- Strong understanding of security controls and best practices.
