The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in AS/400 application development, RPGLE programming, SQL, and ILE concepts. This role requires a strong technical foundation along with the ability to work independently, collaborate within a SCRUM team, and provide mentorship where needed. You will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining key business applications while driving high-quality technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain AS/400 (IBM iSeries) applications using RPGLE, SQL, and ILE concepts

- Work closely with business and technical teams to understand requirements, design solutions, and deliver enhancements

- Write clean, efficient, modular, and well-documented code following best practices

- Perform impact analysis, debugging, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization

- Develop and maintain procedures, service programs, and reusable components

- Engage in full software development lifecycle including coding, testing, implementation, and support

- Participate in SCRUM ceremonies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide technical leadership

- Review technical designs and code developed by team members; provide mentorship and guidance

- Ensure timely delivery of project milestones, adhering to quality and performance standards

- Document technical solutions, deployment steps, and operational procedures

- Support production applications and troubleshoot issues when necessary

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5+ years of strong experience developing and maintaining AS/400 / IBM iSeries applications

Expertise in RPGLE programming, including :

- ILE advanced concepts

- Procedures & service programs

- Functions

- Full Free RPG coding syntax

- Strong experience with SQL concepts and SQL programming

- Experience working with multiple programming languages and systems within AS/400 environments

- Ability to work independently and also as part of a SCRUM/Agile development team

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging abilities

- Demonstrated experience in project planning, design, and delivery

- Highly organized, focused, and committed to meeting delivery timelines
