What youll achieve :

The Senior Principal Engineer, Service Delivery will be responsible for providing the primary management, administration, support, and ongoing maintenance of customer Infrastructure Platforms within a 24x7x365 environment and data centre environment.

This role must be able to understand, execute, and document moderate to complex operational tasks and work requests that are assigned and have experience in moderate to complex research and fact finding using various tools and informational sources.

The role will be expected to work in a positive and collaborative fashion with fellow team members, senior engineering/architect staff, vendors, and customers.

The Infra Delivery Specialist will assist with process maturation, development, technical standards creation, and drive operational excellence through consistent delivery and best practices.

This role will also include the core fundamentals of day-to-day operations, based off the ITIL v3 methodology.

You will :

- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.

- Repair and recover infra from hardware or software failures.

- Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies.

- Perform preventative maintenance (and upgrade, as required) on devices, and related peripherals to meet IT specifications.

- Identify system performance issues and drives the development of tools to correct, work as ops lead, and do end to end management of service delivery/ operations including shift rostering/ customer communication.

- As part of managed services organization, you will ensure that the customers infra is up and running 24-7-365.

- Follow all the organizational policies and processes around 24-7 operations, including working in rotational shifts, work from office, training, upskilling, ITSM Processes, etc.

- Actively participate in leveraging Automation and AI to improve operations, mentor junior resources and contribute to learning and development.

Essential Requirements :

- Bachelors/ masters degree, preferable engineering in Comp.Sc./ IT, 12 15 years of work experience in IT industry, preferably managed services.

- Expert knowledge of Nutanix Components : AHV, CVM architecture, Prism, LCM, NCC, and Data Resiliency (RF2/RF3).

- Hypervisor Experience : Deep expertise in Nutanix AHV is required, with strong knowledge of VMware ESXi integration.

- Scripting & API : Strong proficiency in Python or PowerShell for automating Nutanix tasks via REST APIs.

- Networking : Excellent understanding of Layer 2/3 networking, VLANs, and OVS (Open vSwitch) in a Nutanix environment.

- Operating Systems : Advanced Linux administration skills, strong Communication and Stakeholder Management Skills.

- Excellent problem-solving skills, flexibility to work in 24-7 shifts, including night shift.

Desirable Requirements :

- Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP-MCI), Nutanix Certified Advanced Professional (NCAP).

- Hands on expertise in programming languages like Python/Go and tools like Ansible, GitHub, good understanding of GenAI and its leverage in improving Operations.
