What youll achieve :
As a Senior Software Principal Engineer (DevOps) you will own and evolve CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and release processes for our scale-out storage and data protection platform. In this role, you will also lead adoption of AI-assisted DevOps practices to improve build reliability, pipeline efficiency, and release confidence. Youll drive modernization of build systems, ensure fast and predictable releases, and mentor engineers while collaborating closely with development, QA, and operations.
You will :
- Architect and optimize build and release pipelines for complex, distributed software systems. Lead improvements in CI/CD workflows, automation, and developer productivity at scale.
- Apply AI-assisted techniques for build failure classification, pipeline optimization, and predictive risk detection. Troubleshoot complex build and integration failures; enforce branching, versioning, and governance standards.
- Integrate automated testing, security, and compliance checks into pipelines with intelligent gating. Drive modernization of build tooling and infrastructure using data-driven and AI-enabled insights.
- Mentor engineers and promote adoption of modern DevOps, automation, and AI-augmented engineering practices.

Essential Requirements :
- 8+ years of experience in build/release engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering roles. Strong expertise with CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Groovy for automation and tooling.
- Experience with Git-based SCM, artifact management (Artifactory/Nexus), and containerized builds (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of modern build systems (Bazel, CMake) and cloud-based CI/CD is a plus.
- Hands-on experience using or integrating AI-assisted tools in DevOps workflows, such as
- Build failure pattern detection and root-cause analysis
- Intelligent pipeline optimization or test prioritization
- AI-assisted code, config, or pipeline generation.
Desirable Requirements :
- Experience building self-healing or adaptive CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with observability platforms and applying AI to logs, metrics, and traces.
- Exposure to ML-driven reliability or release-risk scoring systems.
