About the Role :

We are looking for a seasoned Delivery Head/Technical Director with a strong development background who has transitioned into Big Data and Cloud-based Data Analytics. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in PySpark, Databricks, Azure, and data engineering platforms, with proven success in managing large-scale teams and multiple client engagements. Certification in Azure and Databricks and experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Delivery Oversight :

- Own end-to-end delivery of multiple Big Data & Cloud analytics projects across different clients, ensuring quality, timelines, and business alignment.

Team Management :

- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of 20-30 engineers, architects, and analysts across geographies.

Client Engagement :

- Act as the technical point of contact for at least 2 or more concurrent clients, ensuring successful outcomes and satisfaction.

Project Governance :

- Drive governance using Agile/Scrum methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.

Technology Leadership :

- Guide teams in designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines using PySpark, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and related tools.

Architecture & Best Practices :

- Review architectural designs and enforce engineering best practices, data security, and compliance.

Reporting & Analytics :

- Work with analytics teams to deliver dashboards and insights using Power BI or equivalent.

Stakeholder Management :

- Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders (internal and client-side), product owners, and executive sponsors to align on strategic priorities.

Must-Have Skills :

- Background in software/application development and transitioned into Big Data/Cloud space

- 14+ years of experience in IT, with 6+ years in Big Data and Cloud Analytics

Strong expertise in :

- Python, PySpark, SQL

- Databricks & Azure ecosystem (ADF, Synapse, Azure Storage)

- Data Warehousing concepts and Data Lake Architecture

- Exposure to Snowflake (preferred)

- Proficient in using Power BI for analytics and reporting

- Proven track record in delivering multiple large-scale analytics projects

- Experience handling delivery teams of 20-30+ members

- Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills

Certifications Preferred :

Microsoft Certified : Azure Data Engineer Associate

- Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate or Professional

- Agile Scrum Master or Project Management certifications (nice to have)
