Job Title : Oracle VBCS Technical Consultant

Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) Technical Consultant to design, develop, and deploy custom web and mobile applications integrated with Oracle Fusion ERP. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in Oracle Cloud technologies, REST/SOAP integrations, UI/UX development, and Oracle Jet components, with experience in full lifecycle implementation.

Key Responsibilities :

Application Development :

- Design and develop scalable, responsive web and mobile applications using Oracle VBCS.

- Leverage Oracle Jet components, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for front-end development.

- Implement declarative and procedural logic within VBCS for dynamic UI behavior.

Integration :

- Build and consume REST APIs and SOAP Web Services to integrate with Oracle Fusion ERP (Finance, SCM, HCM, etc.).

- Work with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) for complex integrations and data orchestration.

- Implement secure authentication methods (OAuth 2.0, JWT) for API consumption.

Oracle Ecosystem Knowledge :

- Integrate VBCS apps with ERP modules and extend existing Oracle Cloud applications.

- Work with PCS, ADF, and Fusion ERP customizations where needed.

Technical Design & Documentation :

- Participate in requirement analysis, solution design, and architecture discussions.

- Prepare Technical Design Documents (TDD), API specifications, and deployment guides.

- Maintain version control using Git or Oracle Developer Cloud Service.

Testing & Deployment :

- Conduct unit testing and work closely with QA for UAT support.

- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, integration failures, and UI defects.

- Manage deployment cycles in Oracle Cloud environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Technical Expertise :

- 5+ years of experience in Oracle Cloud technologies, with at least 3 years in VBCS.

- Strong hands-on experience with REST/SOAP API development and consumption.

- Experience with Oracle Jet, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, JSON, and XML.

- Knowledge of Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and related services.

- Familiarity with Fusion ERP module structures (Finance, SCM, HCM).

Tools & Platforms :

- Git/ODCS for version control.

- Postman/SoapUI for API testing.

- Familiarity with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence).

Soft Skills :

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Ability to translate functional requirements into robust technical solutions.

- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interaction.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) :

- Experience with PCS workflows or ADF customizations.

- Exposure to Oracle BI Publisher or OTBI reporting.

- Prior experience in ERP extensions and custom UI development for Oracle SaaS applications.
