Role Overview :

This is a senior technical leadership role for an AWS Solution Architect requiring 8- 10 years of technical experience within a software or professional services company.

The Architect's primary objective is to establish credibility for the Professional Services Group to the client, leading both strategic and tactical design decisions across multiple concurrent projects.

The role demands strong, mandatory experience architecting solutions on AWS and Container technologies, paired with deep expertise in Java and database systems, and is focused on complex solutions, particularly within the AML (Anti-Money Laundering) domain.

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced AWS Solution Architect (8-10 years experience, BA/BS required) to lead the design and documentation of complex, scalable, and high-availability solutions for our clients, primarily focusing on financial crime/AML platforms.

The ideal candidate will possess deep technical credibility in AWS cloud architecture, container technologies, Java development, and database systems (Oracle/MS-SQL).

Key responsibilities include presenting Actimize solutions, guiding project teams technically, creating standard architecture best practices, and collaborating with presales and product management, all while maintaining a consultative approach in a customer-facing Professional Services capacity.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Deliverables :

Solution Architecture & Design Leadership :

- Design solutions to complex business problems by extending proprietary software in ways that are supportable, upgradeable, and maintainable across multiple customer environments.

- Lead the solution design effort on a variety of AML projects, acting as the technical lead and Solution Architect.

- Design, review, and document the on-site architecture of the AML solutions, collaborating closely with customer IT teams (infrastructure, security) and internal implementation teams.

- Provide technical guidance and leadership to the project teams throughout all project phases, from planning and build to production deployment and stabilization.

AWS, Containerization, and Performance Engineering :

- Demonstrate Strong on architecting solutions on AWS leveraging services for scalability, security, and cost optimization.

- Mandate expertise in Container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes/ECS/EKS) for solution deployment and orchestration.

- Mandate skills in Designing for high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and system resilience.

- (Nice to Have) Apply expertise in Designing for high-volume scaling and conducting System performance analysis and troubleshooting.

Core Technology Expertise and Integration :

- Deep, mandatory proficiency in Software Integration Solutions design, including defining interfaces and data flows.

- Strong on Java development, understanding how to integrate Java-based applications into enterprise ecosystems.

- Expertise in Database systems like Oracle and MS-SQL Server, including performance tuning, schema design, and data migration strategies.

- Mandatory experience with Web architecture, including configuring and troubleshooting web servers and application servers.

- (Nice to Have) Knowledge of System interfaces such as web services (REST/SOAP) and message queuing technologies (e.g., Kafka, SQS).

Consulting, Communication, and Strategy :

- Act as a Customer facing expert, preferably in a Consulting or Professional Services capacity, ensuring client technical satisfaction and trust.

- Present the Actimize solutions to our customers in a post-sales role, creating technical credibility for the Professional Services team.

- Collaborate with product management on defining new product features based on architectural feasibility and client needs.

- Work with presales teams to design and present possible solutions to potential new customers, assisting with RFI/RFP responses.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : 8-10 years of technical experience with a software company.

- Education : BA degree in Computer Science or related field or relevant experience (advanced degree a plus).

- Cloud/Containers : Strong on architecting solutions on AWS and Container technologies.

- Core Stack : Strong on Java; Experience with Database systems like Oracle and MS-SQL Server.

- Architecture : Experience in Software Integration Solutions design and Designing for high availability.

- Consulting : Customer Presentation and Technical Writing and a Consultative approach to problem solving.

Preferred Skills :

- Domain : Experience within the Financial Services industry a plus (banking, brokerage, or insurance).

- Performance : Experience with Hardware sizing, Designing for high-volume scaling, and System performance analysis and troubleshooting.

- Integration : Experience with System interfaces : web services, message queuing.

- Adaptability : Ability to learn new technologies very quickly and rapidly adapt to changing technology landscape
