As a Senior ForgeRock Developer, you will play a pivotal, hands-on role in the companys Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) platform team.

Your primary responsibility is to lead the development, enhancement, and architectural governance of the ForgeRock Identity Cloud platform, driving our CIAM strategy forward and ensuring our authentication and authorization applications remain at the forefront of the industry in terms of security, scalability, and user experience.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Architecture & Implementation : Architect, design, develop, install, configure, customize, implement, and provide expert support for sophisticated Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions utilizing the full ForgeRock stack.

- ForgeRock Component Focus : Lead the implementation of IAM and Single Sign-On (SSO) projects using ForgeRock components such as OpenIDM (Identity Management), OpenAM (Access Management), OpenIG (Identity Gateway), OpenDJ (Directory Services), and OpenICF (Identity Connector Framework).

- Custom Component Development : Possess hands-on experience writing custom Java components using the ForgeRock SDK (Software Development Kit) to meet complex business requirements (e.g., custom modules, authentication trees, STS (Security Token Service) plugins, policies, connectors, scripts).

- CIAM Development Lifecycle : Own all phases of IAM engagements, including requirements gathering, detailed technical analysis, solution design, development, rigorous testing, deployment, and ongoing application support.

- Federated Identity Management (FIM) : Be responsible for implementing and maintaining core identity federation/synchronization and robust Single Sign On (SSO) across diverse clients and solutions.

- Authentication & Authorization : Develop and maintain complex authorization and authentication trees/nodes, chains, and policies within ForgeRock Access Management based on intricate business use cases.

- Troubleshooting & Support : Act as the primary technical resource to troubleshoot ForgeRock IAM system/component failures, providing rapid, effective solutions.

- Function as the primary liaison for problem/issue resolution with ForgeRock support (vendor).

- Application Security : Apply knowledge of Application Security principles, specifically regarding secure API Integration with ForgeRock to protect critical application endpoints.

- Documentation : Produce and update detailed system architecture documentation, build guides, and operational runbooks.

Required Skill Set (Mandatory Skills) :

- ForgeRock Experience : Mandatory hands-on experience with ForgeRock Identity Cloud and prior project experience implementing the core ForgeRock Identity and Access Management components (OpenAM, OpenIDM, etc.).

- Custom Development : Proven experience writing custom Java components using the ForgeRock SDK for customization and extensions.

- FIM Standards : Deep familiarity with Federated Identity Management (FIM) concepts and associated standards (OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0, SAML 2.0, etc.).

- Frontend Technologies : Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and the React ecosystem for integrated CIAM frontends (e.g., self-service portals).

- Architecture : Experience in large-scale integration projects involving identity management, micro-services, and distributed systems.

- Cloud Infrastructure : Experience of working with Cloud infrastructure such as AWS (or equivalent cloud platforms like Azure/GCP).

- Soft Skills : Excellent verbal, written, and formal presentation skills; strong ability to influence and lead technical thinking.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform) for managing ForgeRock environments.

- Certifications related to ForgeRock or IAM industry standards (e.g., CISSP).

- Experience with directory services optimization (LDAP, OpenDJ)
