Position Summary :


The Lead Workato Integration Specialist will be the subject matter expert and technical leader for all Workato-related projects within our organization.
This senior-level role requires a proven track record of designing, developing, and deploying complex, scalable, and secure automation solutions using the Workato platform.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in enterprise-level integrations, API management, and a strong understanding of business processes across various domains.
You will be responsible for leading a team of integration developers, setting technical standards, and driving the adoption of best practices for Workato development and governance.


Key Responsibilities :


Technical Leadership & Strategy :


- Serve as the primary technical lead and architect for Workato-based integration and automation projects.

- Define and implement the Workato governance model, including security, error handling, and deployment strategies.

- Develop and maintain technical standards, best practices, and a robust integration framework for the Workato platform.


- Stay abreast of new Workato features, connectors, and industry trends to continuously improve our integration capabilities.


Solution Design & Development :


- Architect and build complex, end-to-end integration solutions using Workato to connect various business applications (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, SAP, Workday, ServiceNow, etc.).

- Design and implement scalable workflows (recipes) that automate critical business processes, such as lead-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and employee onboarding.

- Develop custom Workato connectors and APIs as needed to integrate with proprietary or unique systems.

- Ensure all integrations are secure, performant, and reliable, with robust error handling and

monitoring.


Team Leadership & Mentorship :


- Lead, mentor, and guide a team of junior and mid-level Workato developers.

- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality and

consistent development practices.

- Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and technical deliverables for the integration team.

- Act as a technical liaison between the integration team and business stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical specifications.


Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication :


- Collaborate closely with business analysts, solution architects, IT teams, and business unit leaders to understand integration needs and propose effective solutions.

- Present technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Document technical designs, process flows, and operational procedures for all Workato

integrations.


Required Skills and Qualifications :


- 10+ years of professional experience in enterprise application integration and automation.

- 5+ years of hands-on experience specifically with the Workato platform.

- Deep expertise in designing, building, and managing Workato recipes, custom connectors, and API collections.

- Extensive experience with various API protocols, including REST, SOAP, and GraphQL.

- Strong understanding of data transformation, data mapping, and ETL/ELT principles.

- Proven ability to lead and manage complex integration projects from conception to production.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

- Experience with a wide range of business applications and SaaS platforms (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, SAP, etc.).

- Strong understanding of security best practices in cloud and integration environments.

- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

- Workato certification(s) (e.g., Workato Automation Pro II) is highly desirable
