Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced DB2 Systems Programmer to manage and optimize our DB2 database environment on IBM mainframes.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for installation, configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of DB2 subsystems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, and maintain DB2 for z/OS databases

- Tune DB2 subsystems for high performance

- Manage database security, access, and encryption

- Plan and execute backup, recovery, and DR procedures

- Troubleshoot DB2 system issues

- Collaborate with developers for performance optimization

- Apply patches, fixes, and upgrades

- Monitor system health and DB2 resource usage

- Ensure compliance with security and industry standards

- Document configurations and best practices

Required Qualifications :

- 4+ years in DB2 systems programming

- Strong in IBM z/OS, DB2 utilities, and tuning

- Familiar with JCL, REXX, CLIST scripting

- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills

- Good communication and documentation capabilities

Preferred Qualifications :

- DB2 Admin or IBM Certifications

- Knowledge of data sharing, HA setups, or ITIL processes
