Role Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled DB2 Developer to architect and optimize database solutions for a mission-critical Identity Management (IDM) and security-focused engagement.

In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of robust database structures, from requirement analysis to the implementation of high-performance SQL queries and stored procedures.

This position demands a professional who excels at Technical Documentation, ensuring that all database designs, process flows, and security protocols are meticulously recorded.

You will collaborate closely with distributed teams in India to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, maintain data integrity, and ensure that identity-related systems operate with maximum resilience and security compliance.

Responsibilities :

- Database Solution Engineering: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance DB2 database solutions specifically tailored for identity and access management systems.

- Query Optimization: Author and tune complex SQL queries, triggers, and stored procedures to ensure sub-second response times for security-related data retrieval.

- Requirement Translation: Analyze business requirements and translate them into logical and physical DB2 database designs, including schema definitions and indexing strategies.

- Technical Documentation Mastery: Produce clear, professional, and detailed technical documentation, including ER diagrams, data dictionaries, and operational runbooks within strict timelines.

- Performance Tuning & Troubleshooting: Conduct deep-dive performance analysis, identifying and resolving lock contentions, deadlocks, and slow-running queries to optimize environment health.

- Security & Compliance Governance: Ensure all database developments adhere to strict identity management standards, data privacy laws, and client-specific security practices.

- Distributed Collaboration: Partner effectively with cross-functional and remote teams in India, participating in sprint reviews and technical design syncs.

- Data Standard Enforcement: Maintain and enforce organizational data standards, ensuring consistency across tables, naming conventions, and data types.

- Operational Support: Provide high-tier support for ongoing database operations, including data migration assistance and backup/recovery strategy validation.

Technical Requirements :

- DB2 Development Mastery: 5+ years of hands-on experience as a DB2 Developer, with deep expertise in both LUW (Linux, Unix, Windows) or z/OS environments.

- SQL Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), including window functions, recursive queries, and complex joins.

- Identity Management Context: Preferred experience working with identity-related data structures (e.g., LDAP synchronization, user provisioning tables, or OIDC/SAML metadata).

- Documentation Tooling: Proficiency in using tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or Confluence to generate professional-grade technical artifacts.

- RDBMS Fundamentals: Strong understanding of ACID properties, isolation levels, and relational data modeling.
