Role Description :

This is a full-time, on-site role as a Technical Lead OTT Frontend based in Hyderabad.

The Technical Lead will oversee the development and delivery of high-quality frontend solutions for DAZN's Over-The-Top (OTT) streaming platform.

Responsibilities include leading a team of frontend developers, designing and implementing software solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices in coding, and optimizing performance for high-quality streaming experiences.

The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance, mentorship, and problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead Software Engineer with React & RxJS:.

Experience : 8+ years.

Technical Skills :

- Proven experience in building user interfaces using React.

- In-depth knowledge of RxJS for reactive programming.

- Strong skills in JavaScript, Typescript, HTML5, and CSS3.

- Experience with state management libraries (e.g, Redux).

- Proficiency in developing and optimizing HTML5 video players.

- Strong understanding of video streaming protocols and DRM technologies.

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve playback issues on various devices.

- Ability to collaborate with designers and video developers to create seamless user experiences.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelors or Masters/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience :

- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years focused on video player development or streaming media technologies.

- Proven experience leading engineering teams or projects in a fast-paced environment.

- Deep expertise in video streaming protocols (e.g, HLS, MPEG-DASH) and technologies like WebRTC, DRM (Widevine, FairPlay, PlayReady), and CDNs.

- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and modern web development frameworks for web-based players.

Soft Skills :

- Exceptional communication skills to guide teams and collaborate with stakeholders.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
