About the role :

We are looking for an enthusiastic and technically skilled IoT Solutions Engineer (Pre-sales) to join our Bangalore team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technology and business by providing technical expertise during the presales cycle, understanding client requirements, designing IoT-based solutions, and ensuring successful demonstrations and proof of concepts (POCs).

You will collaborate closely with the Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to craft scalable, value-driven IoT solutions tailored to customer needs.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead Technical Discovery: Engage with potential customers to understand their business objectives, operational workflows, and technical challenges. Ask probing questions to uncover pain points and opportunities.

- Design & Architect Customer Solutions: Architect and design tailored IoT solutions that map the capabilities of the DATOMS platform to the specific needs of each client. Create technical architecture diagrams and solution proposals.

- Build & Present Proofs-of-Concept (PoCs): Develop and configure hands-on PoCs and prototypes that demonstrate the feasibility and value of our solution for a customers specific use case.

- Deliver Compelling Technical Demonstrations: Masterfully articulate and present the technical and business value of the DATOMS platform through engaging, customized product demonstrations to both technical and executive audiences.

- Serve as a Technical Expert & Trusted Advisor: Act as the go-to technical resource for customers and the sales team. Confidently answer deep technical questions about our platform, security, and integration capabilities, and handle technical objections.

- Respond to Technical Inquiries: Lead the technical response for RFIs (Requests for Information) and RFPs (Requests for Proposal), ensuring our proposals are accurate, thorough, and compelling.

- Capture and Relay Customer Feedback: Act as the voice of the customer, channeling critical feedback from the field to our Product and Engineering teams to influence the future roadmap of the DATOMS platform.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Education: A Bachelor's degree (B.Tech/B.E.) in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or a related engineering field.

- Experience: 35 years of hands-on experience in a technical role, preferably with some customer-facing responsibilities.

- Stellar Communication & Presentation Skills: The ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences is paramount. You must be an engaging and confident presenter.

Core Technical Skills:

- Firmware & Scripting: Strong understanding of embedded development principles

- Embedded Systems: Deep knowledge of microcontrollers (e.g., ESP32, STM32), sensors, and communication interfaces UART, RS485, TCP/IP, Canbus

- IoT Protocols: In-depth, practical knowledge of application-layer protocols and industrial protocols like Modbus & Canbus. Solid grasp of the stack.

- Cloud Platforms: Demonstrable experience with at least one major IoT cloud platform: AWS IoT (IoT Core, Greengrass) or Azure IoT (IoT Hub, IoT Edge).

- OS & Tools: Comfortable in a Linux environment and proficient with version control (Git).

- Consultative Mindset: A natural curiosity and ability to diagnose customer needs and architect elegant solutions.
