Job Summary :

We are looking for a Database Support Engineer with strong SQL and scripting skills to join our Production Support team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in database support, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and incident management in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide L2/L3 production support for database-related issues.

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve database incidents within defined SLAs.

- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, procedures, and scripts.

- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.

- Support database deployments, maintenance activities, and performance tuning.

- Work closely with application, infrastructure, and support teams to resolve production issues.

- Prepare incident reports and maintain operational documentation.

- Participate in rotational shifts and on-call support as required.

Required Skills :

- 4-8 years of experience in Database Administration or Database Production Support.

- Strong hands-on experience with SQL (query writing, optimization, stored procedures, triggers, and performance tuning).

- Good scripting experience using Shell, PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages.

- Experience in production support, incident management, and troubleshooting.

- Understanding of database monitoring and performance management.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or similar databases.

- Exposure to ITIL processes and ticketing tools.

- Experience working in a 24x7 production support environment.

Work Model :

- Day Shift : Work from Office (Chandigarh)

- Night Shift : Work from Home

- Rotational Shift Schedule
