Database Quality Assurance Lead - Automation Testing

Title : Database QA Lead

Location : Permanent remote

Working Hours : 3 pm to 12 midnight IST

Role Overview :

Key Responsibilities :

- Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data accuracy, data integrity, completeness, and transformations.

- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify anomalies, trends, or potential data quality issues.

- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data workflows, business rules, and validation criteria.

- Design and implement comprehensive test plans for structured and unstructured datasets.

- Develop automated test scripts and frameworks to support regression testing and data validation.

- Utilize AWS services (e.g., Redshift, RDS, S3, Glue, Athena) for QA tasks across cloud data infrastructure.

- Create detailed QA documentation, test cases, and reports.

- Mentor junior QA team members and promote data quality best practices across projects.

Required Qualifications :

- Proven ability to perform advanced SQL querying and data analysis (joins, aggregations, CTEs, performance tuning).

- Experience testing data-intensive applications, data lakes, data warehouses, or ETL/ELT pipelines.

- Proficiency with AWS cloud services (especially Redshift, RDS, S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda).

- Familiarity with data profiling and validation tools.

- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
