Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and analytical functions.

- Work with MS SQL Server tools and SSIS (ETL) for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

- Troubleshoot and support existing Data Warehouse (DW) processes.

- Perform production-level performance tuning for MS SQL to ensure high efficiency.

- Monitor SQL Server performance and availability; implement best practices.

- Participate in SQL code reviews to maintain coding standards.

- Manage database backup & restore, disaster recovery testing, clustering, and replication.

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and thrive under high-pressure environments.

Desired Candidate Profile :

- Education : B.Tech / MCA or equivalent qualification.

- Experience : Minimum 5 years in database development or administration.

- Certifications : Database Management/Development certifications preferred.

- Methodologies : Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology; familiarity with JIRA is a plus.

Technical Skills (Must-Have)

- Databases : MS SQL Server (2016/2019+), T-SQL, Data Warehousing concepts

- ETL Tools : SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)

- Performance Optimization : Query tuning, indexing strategies, execution plans

- High Availability & DR : Clustering, Replication, AlwaysOn, Backup/Restore strategies

- Scripting & Automation : PowerShell, SQL Agent Jobs, Scheduling

Good-to-Have

- BI/Analytics Tools : SSRS, Power BI, Tableau integration

- Cloud Databases : Azure SQL, AWS RDS

- Other ETL Tools : Informatica, Talend (basic exposure)

- DevOps/Agile Tools : JIRA, Git, Jenkins for DB deployment automation
