We are looking for an experienced and visionary Database Lead to head enterprise-scale database operations across SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL platforms.

This role is ideal for a senior professional who can balance technical leadership, performance optimization, and cross-functional collaboration while ensuring that mission-critical data platforms run seamlessly and securely.

As the Database Lead, you will oversee large-scale migrations, architecture design, and database tuning while guiding a team of DBAs to deliver enterprise-class solutions.

You will work closely with application, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure databases are high-performing, resilient, and aligned with business SLAs.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and manage enterprise-level database operations across SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.

- Oversee database architecture, design, and migrations, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.

- Drive performance tuning, monitoring, and optimization strategies for high-availability environments.

- Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and application teams to design efficient schemas, queries, and stored procedures.

- Define and enforce database governance policies, covering backups, recovery, auditing, and compliance.

- Lead database upgrades, patches, and capacity planning initiatives.

- Mentor and guide a team of DBAs, ensuring knowledge sharing, process adherence, and SLA compliance.

- Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting critical incidents and root cause analysis.

- Partner with cloud teams for hybrid and cloud-native database deployments.

- Prepare and present performance and risk reports to senior leadership.

Must-Have Skills :

- 12+ years of database experience, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.

- Proven expertise in SQL Server (Level 4), Oracle (Level 3), and PostgreSQL.

- Strong knowledge of performance tuning, replication, clustering, and monitoring tools.

- Experience managing large, distributed, and mission-critical database environments.

- Hands-on expertise in backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.

- Strong skills in database security, auditing, and compliance practices.

- Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to collaborate across technology and business teams.

Good-to-Have Skills :

- Exposure to NoSQL platforms such as MongoDB or Cassandra.

- Experience with cloud-native databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL).

- Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for database automation.

- Certifications such as Oracle OCP, Microsoft SQL Server MCSE, or PostgreSQL Professional.
