Database Engineer

Position : Database Designer

Experience : 5 - 7 years

Location : Bangalore (Onsite, Immediate Joiners Only)

We are seeking a skilled Database Designer with 5 - 7 years of experience to design, optimize, and manage enterprise-grade databases for genomic, clinical, and laboratory applications. This is an onsite role in Bangalore for immediate joiners only.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design scalable and secure database schemas for clinical and genomic data.

- Implement ETL pipelines for seamless data integration.

- Optimize database performance, indexing, and partitioning.

- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, GDPR).

- Collaborate with scientists, clinicians, and IT teams.

- Manage database governance, backups, and disaster recovery.

Key Skills Required :

- Strong in SQL, PL/pgSQL, T-SQL

- Expertise in RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) & NoSQL (MongoDB, Firestore, Datastore)

- Hands-on with data modeling tools (ERwin, dbt, Lucidchart)

- Familiarity with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL)

- Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security standards

Advantage : Exposure to containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) & healthcare/genomics domain
