Role : Database Architect

Position Overview :

We are seeking a full-fledged Database Architect to design and develop complex database projects while leading a critical migration from SQL Server to PostgreSQL.

This role requires expertise in designing enterprise-scale database solutions, strong development skills across multiple database platforms, and proven experience in project ownership and client management.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and execute comprehensive SQL Server to PostgreSQL migration strategy.

- Quickly initiate and design database models for both RDBMS and NoSQL projects.

- Provide swift support to development teams with database-related requirements and troubleshooting.

- Expert-level development of stored procedures, functions, triggers, and complex database objects across multiple platforms.

- Performance tuning and optimization query optimization, indexing strategies, and database performance enhancement.

- Migrate stored procedures, functions, and jobs from T-SQL to PL/pgSQL.

- Architect scalable, high-performance database solutions for PostgreSQL and other platforms.

- Take full project ownership including timeline, deliverables, and client communication.

- Develop migration tools and data validation frameworks.

Required Qualifications :

- 10+ years database architecture and development experience.

- Expert-level PostgreSQL skills administration, performance tuning, advanced features.

- Strong expertise in multiple database platforms SQL Server (T-SQL, SSIS), MySQL, PostgreSQL.

- NoSQL database experience MongoDB and other NoSQL technologies.

- Proven database migration experience preferably SQL Server to PostgreSQL.

- Development skills in .NET or Java.

- Client-facing experience with strong communication skills.

- Project ownership experience managing timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications :

- PostgreSQL certifications.

- Experience with migration tools (AWS DMS, Azure DMS).

- ETL tools and data integration experience.
