Role Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Database Architect to design, optimize, and oversee enterprise-level database solutions. The ideal candidate should be expert in SQL and database performance tuning methodologies. He should have extensive experience in database architecture, performance tuning, cloud data platforms, and high-availability systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance database systems (OLTP/OLAP).

- Define database standards, best practices, data models, and governance frameworks.

- Lead end-to-end database design including schema, relationships, partitioning, indexing, and replication strategies.

- Evaluate and implement database technologies, tools, and cloud solutions (AWS/Azure/GCP)

- Conduct performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.

- Ensure strong security, access control, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.

- Work closely with DevOps, Data Engineering, and Application teams to integrate database architecture into systems.

- Oversee database migrations, upgrades, and modernization projects (on-prem ? cloud).

- Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership on database initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.

- 10+ years of professional experience in database engineering and architecture.

- Strong knowledge of replication, clustering, sharding, and distributed systems.

- Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Python, PowerShell).
